Heart Writers, Heart Workers: A Creative Writing & Journalling Workshop
A free, gentle journalling workshop for people living with chronic illness and their carers. No pressure to share, just space to feel...
Sometimes the most healing thing we can do is pick up a pen and let ourselves be honest.
Heart Writers, Heart Workers is a creative writing and journalling workshop rooted in creativity as a pathway to healing, offering a supportive, unhurried environment where participants can reconnect with their inner voice at their own pace.
Led by Sofia Akel, this session invites you to slow down and explore writing as a personal practice. One that makes space for feeling, processing, and making sense of what's present, without pressure, without performance, and without expectation.
Through guided prompts and quiet reflection, you'll be gently encouraged to engage with journalling not as something to perfect, but as a tool for honesty, care, and connection with yourself. There is no expectation to share. Just an opportunity to reflect and be.
No writing experience needed. You don't need to be a writer to be here. You just need to show up.
What to expect: A calm, held space with guided journalling prompts, quiet reflection time, and the warmth of a community that understands. Light refreshments will be provided.
