West London HCC National Managers Meeting
On 29 January, the West London Haemoglobinopathy Coordinating Centre (HCC) hosted the national Sickle Cell Network Managers Meeting.
The agenda focused on strengthening collaboration between Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia networks, exploring how they can better support one another in areas such as education and the governance of NHS services.
A dedicated Data Managers Day was held, aimed at supporting both patients and the NHS by working towards a more standardised approach to data collection across services. This initiative is intended to improve the consistency and comparability of outcome data nationwide.
The meeting also featured updates on the role of social prescribers and community-led projects across the West London HCC region, highlighting ongoing efforts to enhance patient support beyond clinical care.
