Simulation Training

To address HCP knowledge and awareness one of the outcomes of the group was to create a bespoke Sickle Cell Simulation programme. Three cases were created in total. One with the potential of patient actor involvement. This was delivered twice before I left and hopefully more times in the future.

The other case is about Tyrone Airey’s final admission to hospital. The debrief of which will include a clip of Tyrone’s mother’s message to training doctors about her loss, relating the simulated scenario to the real-life consequences.
